Prof. Dr. Anke Weidlich is a member of the board of directors of Smart Grids-Plattform Baden-Württemberg e.V. and of the Energy Informatics at the German Informatics Society.

Prof. Dr. Anke Weidlich studied Industrial Engineering and Energy Economics and Energy Policy; then she worked as a research assistant at the Universities of Berlin, Karlsruhe, Iowa and Mannheim. In 2008 Prof. Dr. Anke Weidlich received her Ph.D. from the university of Karlsruhe. In 2011 she became a Professor for Energy System Technology and Energy Economics, especially focusing on intelligent decentralized structures for a sustainable electricity supply (Smart Grids) at the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg. Since 2017, Anke Weidlich is a Professor for Control and Integration of Grids at INATECH, University of Freiburg.

Prof. Dr. Anke Weidlich is a member of the board of directors of Smart Grids-Plattform Baden-Württemberg e.V. and a member of the board of the Energy Informatics at the German Informatics Society. She is also the General Chair of the 10th DACH+ Conference on Energy Informatics, Freiburg 2021.

Her research focus is Electricity Markets and System Integration; Grid Modeling and Analysis of Power Flows; Flexibility Modeling; Sustainable Transformation of the Energy System.
